Anti-wrinkle injections or Botulinum toxin (Botox) to most people was FDA approved in 1989.  Botox is a purified protein.  Wrinkles and fine lines develop over time by the repeated contraction of facial muscles.  

By injecting Botox precisely into these specific muscles, the nerve impulse travelling o the muscle is blocked.  The blockage prevents contraction, therefore relaxing the muscles.  

Typically you will see an improvement of the appearance of those fine lines and wrinkles within two weeks following treatment.  Maximum treatment botox effect can be seen 5-6 weeks after injection and can be seen up to 4 months after injection.  

Men are charged an Extra £50 for Botox.
